Moderate earthquake on India-Burma border

Earthquake-TMA 5.5-magnitude tremor, which originated along the India-Burma border, struck around 10:13 a.m. on Sunday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

No casualties or damages were reported.

The epicentre was near the Burma-India border region, about 491 kilometres northeast of Dhaka.

According to Dhaka University Earth Observatory, the tremor was 66 kilometres east of Nagaland and 122 kilometres northeast of Imphol in Monipur in India.
