The National League for Democracy (NLD) led by opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has said that it is confident that it will win the majority of the seats in the November 8 elections, Channel New Asia reported on 28 October.
Seventy-three-year-old Win Htein, strategist for the NLD, said he is confident the party will take the majority of seats in Myanmar's upper and lower houses.
Sales of NLD T-shirts and other paraphernalia have been brisk, reflecting the massive support for the party, particularly in urban areas such as Yangon and Mandalay, where the NLD is expected to win big.
