The Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) central executive committee meeting, on July 4, will decide whether the party will contest in the by-elections, said the USDP spokesperson Dr. Nanda Hla Myint.
He made the remark in a press conference held at the USDP headquarters on Thanlwin Road in Bahan Township in Yangon on June 29.
"We lost in the 2015 general elections. But we don't worry about that loss," said Dr. Nanda Hla Myint. "Our discussions have progressed. After the meeting makes the decision, we will issue an announcement."
The by-elections will be held on November 3.
There is a vacant seat for the Upper House, four for the Lower House and eight for regional parliaments.
