U Aung Thaung, the Lower House MP of Taungta Township and Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) MP, was cremated at Yeway Cemetary in Yangon on 27July, 2015.
He died at the age of 74 at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore on 23 July after he collapsed on 8 July 2015, following complications from a stroke. He was flown to Singapore to receive medical treatment for a cerebral haemorrhage.
He is survived by his wife Khin Khin Yi. And three sons Pyi Aung, Nay Aung and Moe Aung.
