Myanmar confirms plan to ensure food security

Myanmar is planning to eradicate hunger and ensure food security with already adopted long-term plans in the country, official media reported Wednesday, according to Xinhua on 29 July.
Addressing a meeting of the Committee on Security of Food and Nutrition in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday, Myanmar Vice President U Nyan Tun said the nation is on track to achieve its 2025 target for the National Zero Hunger Challenge in cooperation with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, said the Global New Light of Myanmar.
U Nyan Tun, who is also the chairman of the committee, stressed that the target must be achieved step by step, ranging from security of food to conservation of natural resources.
