Lower House Speaker Win Myint has urged MPs to work to improve the lives of the citizens even when parliament is not sitting.
He made his call to Lower House MPs on June 10, the last day of the first regular session of the second parliament
“I want you to work with good will for the welfare of the people even when the parliament session is paused,” Win Myint told MPs.
“I want MPs to work for national reconciliation, nationwide peace, to build a democratic federal union and to improve the social lives of the citizens,” he said.
The parliament is in recess for over a month, during which time MPs will go back to their constituencies.
