National League for Democracy (NLD) Scrutinizing Committee for Complaints against People’s Representatives In-Charge Dr.Myo Nyunt told Mizzima yesterday, 7 March, that the party would take stern action against those who were found guilty of corruption in accordance with the law and they would be shown no mercy to protect the image and dignity of the party.
“We will verify and scrutinize each and every complaint against our representatives. We will look at the evidence in relation to the alleged scale of the corruption . . .  and will take party disciplinary actions as and when necessary,” Dr.Myo Nyunt added.
He continued, “Anyone can lodge complaints against our representatives, the people or party members, anyone can lodge a complaint when they assume our representatives have not been able to fulfil the people’s hopes and expectations. But the complainant must give their name, address and contact number. If they send their complaints in written form, they must be signed by the complainant otherwise, we cannot take official action. We will record the complaints lodged by phone also. But they must be well recorded and must be attached with documentary evidence,”
