National Geographic Traveler magazine has revealed its picks for the best destinations to visit in 2015, which this year include the Mergui or Myeik Archipelago in southern Myanmar.
Every year, the magazine reveals its choice of top destinations to visit. For this year, it picked 21 destinations around the world, and Myanmar’s Myeik Archipelago ranks 11th in the list of “Best Trips 2015”.
The magazine suggests foreign tourists interested in yachting will enjoy the Myeik Archipelago in Tanintharyi Region. In addition, there is the lifestyle of the Moken [Salone] who live in the region, numbering only 700. And there are the coral reefs near the islands of Thakhin Nyo Gyi, Myaukni, Ngaman, Tharyar, Khayin, Satan, Than and Kyakmauk.
The National Geographic Traveler magazine’s “Best Trips 2015” includes locations in Myanmar, Taiwan, Japan, and India in Asia. It also includes locations in Columbia, Peru, Romania, Tunisia, Jamaica, Switzerland, France, Argentina, Australia and the United States.
