Two Burmese professional football teams will receive training from three coaches from Real Madrid's training academy in November, according to domestic media reports.
The Real Madrid coaches will help train both Burmese coaches as well as U-14 and U-16 footballers from Nov. 16 to 25 in Thuwunna stadium, 7-Day News reported.
“Training of former footballers and instructors from foreign countries will create opportunities for Myanmar footballers to keep in touch with international football standards,” said an official of Myanmar Football Federation (MFF).
In September, former Liverpool Football Club (FC) winger John Barnes conducted a four-day training session for U-12 players in Rangoon. The former football player also held lectures on football theories for 40 coaches from Myanmar National League clubs and the Basic Education Department.
The football training courses were sponsored by Digicel Company, an MFF sponsor.
