Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd was the recipient of the prestigious “Best Developer” award at the inaugural Myanmar Property Awards held in Yangon earlier this week.
The Company’s flagship project “Star City Thanlyin” also won the “Best Landscape Architecture” award and was also shortlisted for the “Best Interior” and “Best Residential”. “Galaxy Towers” at Star City Thanlyin received a “Highly Commended” certificate for the residential category. Star City Thanlyin is 70 percent owned by Yoma Strategic and 30 percent by First Myanmar Investment Company Limited (FMI), an affiliate of Yoma Strategic.
Mr Cyrus Pun, head of real estate and executive director of Yoma Strategic said: “This award is a clear sign of recognition from respected professionals in the industry, and for that we are especially proud and honoured to be selected from a field of highly respectable developers in the market today. The enlarged Group has been developing real estate in Myanmar for more than 20 years, so this award is a tribute to all of those who have worked endlessly throughout the years to earn us the distinction of being the leading developer in the market.”
These awards are part of the decade-old Asia Property Awards organised by Ensign Media, which is also the publisher of Asia’s leading real estate publication Property Report magazine. The award ceremony was the result of a six-month nomination process and comprehensive site visits conducted by an independent panel of judges.
"Perhaps one of the strongest advantages we have over our competitors is the breadth and strength of our team, having a good mix of top tier experienced international professionals and long serving staff with the depth of local knowledge. With the rise in standards across the whole industry, we are confident that our strong team is well placed to innovate our products and services to drive excellence in this sector," said Mr Cyrus Pun.
