Myanmar to upgrade cross-border trade facilities

The ministry of commerce of Myanmar will upgrade the trade facilities of the country's border trade gates to meet Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) standards to promote trade, said an official of the ministry Saturday, Xinhua reported on 12 November.
There are 15 border trade zones in Myanmar which link China, Thailand, India and Bangladesh. Of them, Muse border trade zone has the maximum trade value.
The total trade value through those border trade gates reached 4.32 billion US dollars in the first seven months of this fiscal year 2016-2017 as of Nov 4.
