Apollo Towers Myanmar Ltd. has announced that it has signed a new purchase order of more than 700 new telecom towers with Telenor Myanmar Ltd, according to a report on Business Wire, 21 May.
“Telenor is here for the long run and we are committed to fulfilling our promise to support the modernization of Myanmar’s telecommunications sector. Building a widely available telecom infrastructure is vital for innovation in other key industries, and will drive the country’s socioeconomic development.” A statement from the company said.
The appointment of Apollo Towers Myanmar supports Telenor’s plan of continuing its rapid roll out of a modern mobile communications network in the country. Telenor Myanmar is eager to deliver affordable and accessible mobile-communications services to people throughout Myanmar.
The ongoing partnership between Telenor Myanmar and Apollo Towers Myanmar provides the platform for multi-tenancy on towers in order to accelerate the development of efficient and cost-effective shared mobile telecommunications infrastructure in Myanmar.
