The United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS) received 140,000 protective gowns from Myanmar according to a report in Britain's The Sun newspaper.

According to the report, Chancellor Rishi Sunak said the British Government would "pursue every possible option" to secure personal protective equipment (PPE) for the UK.

He insisted there were regular shipments of PPE despite "unexpected delays" to a consignment of PPE due to arrive today from Turkey.
