Myanmar President's Office on Tuesday assigned U Soe Win, the Planning and Finance Union Minister, to concurrently take the position of Union Minister for Industry, Xinhua reported.

The move came after the resignation of former Union Minister for Industry U Khin Maung Cho, out of his own volition, was approved on July 26.

U Soe Win was nominated for the post of Planning and Finance Minister by President Win Myint and the designation was unanimously approved at the parliament in May 2018.
