Two more fish processing plants in Myanmar have been permitted to export their products to the European Union (EU), bringing the total number of such plants allowed for export to EU to 23, Xinhua reported.

The two plants - TT Cold Store Factory and A&N Foods (Myanmar) Co Ltd - were so allowed after they passed a screening. However, the factories can only export fish caught in the wild.

Myanmar has not allowed export of farmed fish due to lack of guarantee on their being free from biochemical residuals.
