Bangladesh’s Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) have claimed to have rescued four displaced Myanmar nationals and detained two alleged members of a human trafficking gang in Dhaka, the Daily Star reported.

According to the report, a team of Rab-3 detained a “human trafficker” and a “broker” of an active human trafficking syndicate.

The law enforcers rescued the four displaced Myanmar women from being trafficked to Saudi Arabia.

The Myanmar nationals had fled Rakhine state and took refuge at Balukhali camp in Ukhiya of Cox’s Bazar.
