Shipments of tin ore from Myanmar to China through Ruili customs remain normal even as China has closed the nearby Jiegao border crossing with Myanmar following a military attack in Muse on Thursday night, SMM reported.

Most of China’s tin ore imports from Myanmar are from Wa State, while a smaller proportion enters China through Ruili customs.

It was reported that the headquarters of the government-backed Pansay militia based in Muse, Shan State was attacked by unknown gunmen.
