Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi has urged those who have come out of quarantine to take care because they may face danger from catching the COVID-19 virus.

Suu Kyi made the call on her personal Facebook page yesterday, according to the Global New Light of Myanmar.
She said they should not forget that there was a very grave danger that they could get infected with the COVID-19 virus if they did not follow the rules, regulations, and directives announced by the Health authorities.

“We need to meet the COVID-19 challenge like a long distance runner. We need to conserve our strength to last for the long haul. We will need to transition this period on a day to day basis in the right way without losing our balance so that we would not waste our energy,” the report says.

She noted that worrying too much does not mean that a person is alert. It just means that this individual has faltered towards the extreme because he or she lacked focus.

“I have noticed that there have been instances where legal action had to be taken because some individuals reacted in an unruly and rude manner in response to actions performed in the line of duty.”

She said don’t wait for the Ministry of Health and Sports to supply masks but make your own.
