Almost all renovation works on quake-hit pagodas have been completed in Bagan located in central Myanmar, an official from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture told Xinhua on Tuesday.
As of last month, only one pagoda remains to be renovated out of 389 quake-affected pagodas, Ko Ko Naing, deputy director-general of Department of Archaeology and National Museum under the ministry was quoted as saying.
An earthquake measuring 6.8 magnitude struck the ancient city of Bagan in 2016, damaging pagodas in the Bagan ancient cultural heritage zone.
