Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), in co-operation with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), has delivered food parcels for 3,220 families displaced from Myanmar to Bangladesh, The Gulf Times reported.

As per a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between QRCS and BDRCS, an assessment was conducted to select the poorest families with older persons, female breadwinners, orphans, or special needs people.

Under a winterisation aid project, QRCS's representation mission in Bangladesh distributed parcels of food staples. The project covered around 16,000 refugees. The three-day distribution constituted Phase 1 of the project.
