Rakhine State CM escapes injury after car overturns

The car in which Rakhine State government Chief Minister Nyi Py was travelling overturned on his way back to Sittway after attending a meeting held in Nay Pyi Taw but there were no reported injuries in this accident.

CM Nyi Pu’s personal assistant (PA) Kyaw Khin said, “The Chief Minister was not injured in this accident. It happened near Mrauk-U Hotel. He attended the SEZ meeting held in Nay Pyi Taw at about 7 p.m. The car accident happened at about 5 a.m. on his way back home after signing the SEZ.”

It is reported that the driver was sleepy at this time and the car veered off the road and ran down to the base of a bridge near Mrauk-U Hotel.
