President and State Counsellor apply for absentee ballots with Form (15)

Naypyitaw Union Territory Election Commission branch said that President Win Myint and State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi applied for absentee ballots with Election Commission Form (15).

The President and State Counsellor would not vote for the candidates in their current address and constituency, but they would vote for candidates in their respective original addresses. They applied for casting absentee ballots at Zabuthiri Township election commission branch with Form (15).

President and State Counsellor are currently living in Zabuthiri Township and they cannot return to their respective home constituencies because of travel restrictions imposed for COVID containment. The President will vote for candidates in Tamwe, Yangon Region and State Counsellor will vote for candidates in Bahan constituency, Yangon Region with absentee ballots.
