Officials from the Peace Commission and two ministries have discussed holding a coordination meeting with Karen National Union (KNU) representatives for the implementation of Bawkahta hydropower project at the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre, state media reported.

The meeting discussed the KNU’s proposals for Bawkahta hydropower project and holding a coordination meeting with KNU representatives for its implementation.

The hydropower project is located in Kyauk Kyi Township, Bago Region.
