Number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar increases to 54,607

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar has increased to 54,607 as of Monday, the Ministry of Health and Sports said in a release, Xinhua reported.

A total of 1,202 more confirmed cases were reported in the country.

The death toll reached 1,282 with 24 newly reported deaths on Monday in the country, the release said.

According to the ministry's figures, 37,954 patients have been discharged from the hospitals so far.
