The UK government travels advisory, updated Monday, has confirmed that British citizens and residents of the UK and those who have visited the UK within the previous 14 days cannot visit Myanmar even if international flights resume, TTR weekly reported.

Similarly, Bangkok media sources claimed on Monday that Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health would seek approval from the Centre of Covid-19 Situation Administration to temporarily deny entry to British travellers following reports that four UK citizens tested positive for the SARS-CoV-19 variant known as
B117.

Myanmar has extended the ban on all international commercial passenger flights to and from its international airports until 31 January 2021 at the earliest when the ruling will come up for review.
