MPT extends its fibre-to-the-home network

Myanmar Post and Telecommunications (MPT) has extended its fibre-to-the-home network to 24 new cities and townships, developingtelecoms reported.

Its fibre footprint now includes 51 townships. In addition to the Yangon and Mandalay regions, MPT’s fibre services are now available in towns and cities across Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Shan, Tanitharyi and Rakhine.

To encourage take-up of the service, MPT has launched a promotion offering new users free installation and one month’s free access.
