A total of 102 migrant workers were repatriated to Myanmar from Thailand on the evening of 22 October. The migrants — 90 men, 10 women, and 2 children — were escorted to the Kawthoung border gate by officials from Thailand’s Ranong Immigration Department, state media reported.

The migrant workers were expelled by Thai authorities as their visas had expired and they did not
have proper documentation, according to the Ranong Immigration Department.
