A large haul of stimulant tablets was seized on Wednesday from passenger buses in Myanmar's Mandalay region, according to the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC), Xinhua reported.

The seizures were made by police personnel from the Anti-Narcotic Task Force in Patheingyi township in early hours of Wednesday.

A total of 2,200 stimulant tablets worth 11 million kyats (7,333 U.S. dollars) were confiscated from two passengers on a bus traveling from Lashio to Yangon when it was intercepted at Kyaukchaw checkpoint at 01:15 a.m. local time.
