Japan and Myanmar exchange notes for HR grant aid

On 6 July 2020, H.E. Mr. Maruyama Ichiro, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and H.E. U Bharat Singh, Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, signed and exchanged notes concerning grant aid for “the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship”, worth 627 million Japanese yen.

The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship aims at providing young governmental officials who will be leading the country in future with an opportunity to study in Japan for Master’s and PHD degrees and gain necessary skills and knowledge. It is expected to contribute to solving development issues in Myanmar and strengthening the bilateral relations by creating human networks.
