Israel- Myanmar MASHAV online course on special education for professionals

The Embassy of Israel in Myanmar’ development program by MASHAV – Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation, together with the Myanmar Special Education Association - MSEA supported by the Department of Social Welfare, Ministry of Social Welfare Relief and Resettlement, will conduct a five sessions online course for professionals in Myanmar on “Methods in Special Education” about children with special needs.

This very first online training which will start on October 19th, and for 5 consecutive weeks will be conducted by MASHV METC - MASHAV Educational Training Centre, according to the Israeli Embassy.

This course is in collaboration with MSEA, and will be attended by 35 Myanmar's professional in the field of Special Education from the Government ministries, University of Education, Department of Social Welfare, focal ministry of special schools, parents of children with special needs and MESA team.

In face of developing models challenging ways of understanding special conditions of life and differences in abilities, the online course hopes to offer a multidisciplinary discourse binding neuroscience and special education within an ecological framework. An integrative approach is needed and every teacher should discover his or her "landmark" by deepening in humanity, in knowledge and understanding of his or her students. The ultimate aim is to support learning, encouraging special needs students with hope and granting them tools to achieve optimal functions and to learn relevant practices to deal with life.
