Four Chin young people were allegedly abducted by the Arakan Army (AA) at Ngathareng Village in Kyauk Taw Township on 29 July, Rakhine State, according to Khumi Affairs Coordination Council.

They were picked up while traveling from Kyauktaw in the Rakhine State to Paletwa in the Chin State.

They are Salai Benjamin, who came back from Malaysia about four months ago, activist Salai Aung Soe, Salai Aung Tun Ko and Salai Khin Maung Tun.

The reason for the abduction was not clear at the time of writing.
