FDA Yangon office closed indefinitely after staff member tests positive for COVID-19

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) office in Yangon has reportedly closed indefinitely after a staff member from this office tested positive for COVID-19.

FDA Director General, Prof. Dr. Khin Zaw told Mizzima, “One of our staff tested positive and now we are preparing to test over 100 people who had close contact with him. We have not yet taken swab samples from all of them.”

Currently all staff from FDA Yangon office are quarantined and he could not say when the office could be reopened.
