Embassy of Israel Donates to Special Needs Children School in Mawlamyine

As part of the bilateral cooperation between Israel and Myanmar, supported by MASHAV – Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation, the Embassy of Israel has donated assistive tools of Special Education Teaching Aids to the Future Light Foundation (Special needs Children School) in Mawlamyine. In the same donation, MCM Company Ltd. Has contributed 10 yellow school bicycles.

The Future Light Foundation was established in 11th May, 2017, with the help of donors and local organizations for special needs children in the Mon State. The training school for special needs, the third story building was opened on 17th February 2018 with 18 special needs training with 40 students.

The donation ceremony was held on 17th November 2020. The ceremony was held at the Future Light Foundation in Mawlamyine according to MOHS’s guidelines. Dr. Htein Lin - Minister for Social Affairs of Mon State Government was presenting as chief guest and U Khin Maung Tint - Chairperson of the Future Light Foundation, Directors from Department of Social Welfare in MLM, teachers, parents and invited media. At the same time, attended by the on-line Zoom H.E. Mr. Ronen Gilor - Ambassador of Israel to Myanmar, U Aung Hlaing Oo - CEO of MCM Co. Ltd. and Honorary Consul of Ukraine, Embassy staff and media from Yangon. The Embassy Facebook page ‘Israel in Myanmar’ launched Live Stream of the event.
