Ceremony  for Israeli farming plot held at Yezin Agricultural University

As part of bilateral cooperation between Myanmar and Israel, an inauguration ceremony of a Demonstration & Research Plot, established with the help of Israel, was held at Yezin Agricultural University on 21 February.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr Gilad Cohen, head of the Asia and Pacific division of Israel’s Foreign Ministry, Israeli Ambassador Ronen Gilor, Naing Kyi Win, Director General of the Department of Agriculture Research, Dr Nang Hseng Horn, Rector of the university, and other guests.

The Israeli Embassy initiated the Israeli demonstration and research plot at the university in August 2017. The main purpose is to demonstrate to students and faculty members various aspects of Israel’s advanced agriculture and water management techniques.
