72 cases of trafficking in persons reported in first seven months of this year

Myanmar reports a total of 72 cases of trafficking in persons in first seven months of this year, according to latest figures released by the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division, Xinhua reported.

From January to July, 111 people including 21 children were victimized while 208 traffickers were charged in connection to the cases.

Regionally, Yangon region and Shan state registered most trafficking cases with 22 cases each.
