203 new COVID-19 infections reported

The number of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar reached 3,502 with 203 new infections on Tuesday, according to a daily release from the Health and Sports Ministry Xinhua reported.

Three more patients with underlying diseases died, bringing the death toll to 35 so far, the release said.

State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, who is also chair of the Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of COVID-19, assured the public on Tuesday that the government will assist in everything that should be done including the provision of medical equipment and enough quarantine centres to accommodate the infected patients.
